Game Notes: Rip City Remix (18-12) at Austin Spurs (16-13), Saturday 5 p.m. & Sunday 2 p.m.

REMIX VS. SPURS MATCH UP: The Rip City Remix will face the Austin Spurs for the first time in franchise history in a back-to-back weekend series. The Remix are 9-6 when playing on the road, while the Spurs are 8-7 when playing in front of their home crowd at H-E-B Center at Cedar Park. Rip City is 4-1 in their last five games prior to heading to the Lone Star State.

Notable:

RIP CITY SWEEPS ONTARIO: The Rip City Remix defeated the Ontario Clippers twice in a two-game series. On March 19, the Remix won 123-89 in their largest win margin of the season. With only eight available players, the Remix outscored the Clippers by 34 points and never let them take the lead. D’moi Hodge led the team with 24 points, with six scores from behind the arc, and a season-high 10 rebounds. Tazé Moore tied a career-high with 27 point to lead Rip City to victory on March 21. Seven of the eight available players scored in double- figures during the 114-99 win.

SINKING SOUTH BAY: : The Rip City Remix defeated the South Bay Lakers 116-112 at Chiles Center on March 15. Antoine Davis came out on fire, scoring 14 points (5-7 FG, 4-5 3PT) in the first quarter alone. Seven Remix players scored in double-figures to contribute in the team win. Rip city is now 1-1 against the Lakers in the 23-24 regular season.

SPLIT SERIES: The Rip City Remix fell in the first game of a two-game series against the Texas Legends in Portland, 125-119. In the second game of the series, the Remix claimed victory 127-116, after coming back from a 23 point deficit in the first quarter. Rip City scored the most points ever in a quarter with 45 in the second frame during their comeback. Tazé Moore, a former Legends player, earned one rebound shy of a triple-double for the Remix with 24 points, 13 assists and nine rebounds in the home win.

RIP CITY REMIX at ONTARIO CLIPPERS … MARCH 21, 2024 … W, 114-99

The Rip City Remix defeated the Clippers, 114-99, in back to back wins. Taze Moore tied a career-high in scoring with 27 points to lead the Remix in the victory. Both George Conditt (10 points, 11 rebounds) and Jazian Gortman (14 points, 10 assists) contributed double-doubles.

RIP CITY REMIX at ONTARIO CLIPPERS … MARCH 19, 2024 … W, 123-89

The Rip City Remix outlasted the Ontario Clippers 123-89, as the Remix never allowed the Clippers to lead in the full 48 minutes. D’moi Hodge led for Rip City with 24 points and earned a season-high 10 rebounds. Ashton Hagans followed with 22 points and five assists in the win.

RIP CITY REMIX at STOCKTON KINGS … MARCH 17, 2024 .. L, 106-104 (OT)

The Rip City Remix fell to the Stockton Kings in overtime 106-104, as Stockton reached the target score with two free-throws to end the game. Kevin Knox led with 27 points, 14 rebounds and five assists. Off the bench, D’moi Hodge followed with 25 points, nine rebounds and three assists.

RIP CITY REMIX vs. SOUTH BAY LAKERS … MARCH 15, 2024 … W, 116-112

Rip City sunk the Lakers, 116-112 with the help of a late 11-3 run in the fourth quarter. Antoine Davis led the Remix with 21 points, including six three-pointers. Alex Reese followed with 18 points and seven rebounds. Knox II earned 17 points and nine rebounds.

RIP CITY REMIX vs. TEXAS LEGENDS … MARCH 12, 2024 … W, 127-116

The Remix took game two of the series, winning 127-116 against the Legends. Taze Moore was one rebound away from a triple-double, earning 24 points, 13 assists and nine rebounds. Both Kevin Knox II and Ashton Hagans also scored 24 points in the win.
