Rip City Takes Come-Back Win Over Texas, 127-116

The Rip City Remix tied the two-game series 1-1 in win on Tuesday night.

PORTLAND, Ore. – March 12, 2024 – The Rip City Remix defeated the Texas Legends in the second game of the two-game series, 127-116 at Chiles Center on Tuesday night. After shooting 69.6% from the field, the Legends ended the first quarter with 42 points, leading the Remix by 23.

Rip City responded in the second frame with 45 points, their highest scoring quarter in franchise history. The Remix began the quarter on a 20-4 run to put themselves in position to pull ahead by two going into the break.

Rip City continued to grow their lead into the third quarter and had their largest lead of 15 with under two minutes remaining in the game.

Taze Moore led the Remix with 24 points and season-highs in both rebounds (9) and assists (13) in the defeat of his former team. Two-way player Ashton Hagans tied in scoring with 24 points, along with seven assists, and six rebounds. Kevin Knox II also earned 24 points for the Remix, along with five rebounds and two steals in the home win. Also scoring in double-figures were two-way player Justin Minaya (15 points) and D’moi Hodge (11 points).

Justin Jackson led the Legends with a team-high 20 points. Olivier-Maxence Prosper followed with 18 points, five rebounds and four assists in the road loss. Providing a spark off the bench, Erik Stevenson scored 17 points, along with five assists and three rebounds. Alex Fudge (14 points), Theo Pinson (12 points), and Tyler Hall (11 points) all scored in double-figures for Texas.
