Remix Sweep the Clippers in Two-game Series

In the Tuesday’s game, the Remix defeated the Clippers 123-89 on the road in Ontario. In the largest margin of victory for the Remix all season, the defense took a stand to hold the Clippers to 36.3% from the field. Rip City led as much as 35 points in the fourth quarter and never allowed Ontario take the lead or tie throughout the entire game.

The Remix were led by the sharp shooting of D’moi Hodge, who contributed a double-double with 24 points (6-10 3PT), 10 rebounds and two blocks. Two-way player Ashton Hagans followed with 22 points, five assists, five rebounds and two assists. Sparking a flame off the bench, Jazian Gortman earned 17 points and led the team in assists (6). Romeo Weems logged 14 points and a career-high 16 rebounds in the win.

Jordan Miller led the Clippers with 21 points and 10 rebounds in their loss at home. Three other players scored in double figures Joshua Primo (13), Bryson Williams (12) and Kobe Brown (11).

On Thursday’s second game of the series, the Remix were led by Taze Moore who tied a career-high in scoring with 27 points, along with earning eight assists, six rebounds and two steals in the victory. The Rip City defense was able to hold the Clippers to 25% from behind the arc and help seal the deal in the 114-99 victory.

D’moi Hodge earned with 16 points, eight rebounds and one assist, while Alex Reese came off the bench to contribute 16 points and seven rebounds in the win. Jazian Gortman earned his second double-double of the season, with 14 points, 10 assists and two steals. George Conditt also logged a double-double with 10 points, 11 rebounds, four assists and three steals in the win.

The Clippers were led by assignment player Kobe Brown with 20 points, eight rebounds, and four assists. Armoni Brooks followed from the bench with 19 points, four rebounds and three assists in the loss.
