Read with the Remix is a free literacy program that encourages elementary students to build healthy reading habits while earning a complimentary ticket to a Rip City Remix game. Whether you're reading at home, in the classroom, or at your local library, every page counts. 
We believe basketball can inspire more than what happens on the court. Read with the Remix was created to encourage young readers, support educators, and provide families with an affordable opportunity to experience professional basketball together. 
Our goal is simple: make reading fun, celebrate every child's achievement, and create lasting memories at a Remix game. 

How it works

Read Your Way to Game Day 

1. Download Your Reading Passport 

Download and print the Read with the Remix Reading Passport to begin your journey. 

2. Complete the Reading Challenge 

Read the required number of books or minutes outlined on your Reading Passport. Reading can happen anywhere: 

• 📚 At school  
• 🏠 At home  
• 🏛️ At your local library  
• 👨‍👩‍👧 With family  

3. Verify Your Reading 

Once you've completed the challenge, have a parent, guardian, teacher, or librarian sign your Reading Passport. 

4. Redeem Your Reward 

Each participant who completes the Reading Passport is eligible to receive one (1) complimentary ticket to a Rip City Remix weekday regular season home game. 

Family members, siblings, and friends are encouraged to attend and may purchase additional tickets at our affordable family-friendly pricing.

Who can participate? 

Read with the Remix is open to elementary-aged students throughout Oregon and Southwest Washington. 

How much does the program cost? 

Nothing! Participation is completely free. 

How many tickets can I earn? 

Each participant may redeem one complimentary ticket during the season, even if they complete the Reading Passport multiple times. 

We hope you'll continue reading long after you've earned your ticket! 

What games are eligible? 

Complimentary tickets may be redeemed for weekday Rip City Remix regular season home games, subject to availability. 

Can my family attend with me? 

Absolutely! Family members and friends are encouraged to attend and may purchase additional tickets. 

Can classrooms participate? 

Yes! Teachers are encouraged to complete the challenge as a class. 

Can libraries participate? 

Absolutely. Libraries are wonderful partners in encouraging young readers and helping families discover great books.
