Rip City Remix to host Inaugural Pride Night

Portland, Ore. – The Rip City Remix invites you to join our inaugural Pride Night game to celebrate the LGBTQ2SIA+ community Jan. 24 as the Remix take on G League Ignite at 6 p.m. In collaboration with our community partners, we will be raising money and awareness to support the Pride movement, as well as showcasing local LGBTQ2SIA+ performers and artists.

During the game, the players of the Rip City Remix will be wearing custom-made jerseys to celebrate Pride Night on the court. These game-worn jerseys will later be auctioned, with all proceeds going to benefit our night’s featured community partner, New Avenues for Youth. Fans can also buy Pride-themed Remix and the Love Wins apparel collection at the merchandise pop-up shop on the main concourse.

In addition to a great game, fans can also catch some jaw-dropping performances from members of the LGBTQ2SIA+ community at the Chiles Center. At halftime, drag performers Alexis Campbell Starr and Bolivia Carmichaeals will make the court their stage for an unforgettable show. After the game, fans can also watch a hip-hop performance from local dancer Anthony Rivera.

Our Pride Night event will highlight the featured community partner, New Avenues for Youth, a Portland-based nonprofit organization dedicated to the prevention and intervention of youth homelessness. New Avenues offers extensive support for the LGBTQIA2S+ community through a family of services. The Rip City Remix will be celebrating and uplifting our community partner throughout the evening - including donations and gaining awareness for their cause. At the game, fans will have the opportunity to contribute donations to New Avenues for Youth by purchasing raffle tickets for a chance to win a one-of-a-kind custom record created by a local artist.

Tip off against G League Ignite will be at 6:00 p.m. PT. The doors will open one hour prior to tip-off and parking is free in the main lot next to Chiles Center.
